Liquefied natural gas (LNG), as a kind of clean and high quality energy, has a broad development prospect in the global energy market. LNG has become an important part of the global gas trade in recent years. The construction of LNG receiving terminal is an important measure to import and store LNG on a large scale.

The liquefied LNG is 1/600 the volume of a gas and needs to be stored at minus 162 degrees Celsius or lower, so it is important to keep the tank cold. The outer tank of the LNG storage tank is made of concrete structure, and the inner tank is made of 9% nickel steel. Between the two, a layer of expanded perlite and elastic felt cooling layer is filled. The part of the tank is made of five layers of new inorganic insulating material foam glass brick to ensure the cooling effect of the tank bottom. Elastic felt has low thermal conductivity and good thermal insulation performance, so the material structure can ensure that the temperature does not change.

LNG elastic felt fibers are tightly bonded, and the clamping force between fibers is strong, so that the product has stronger tensile properties. After installation and use, the fiber distribution is uniform, and there will be no local thickness and strength shortage. When the moisture content of the material in the low-temperature storage tank is too high, the replacement gas can not dry the insulation material in time, resulting in the tank frosting, which has a potential safety hazard. The low moisture content of Uetersen LNG elastic felt fiber ensures the drying of tank cryogenic insulation system. At the same time with A1 grade non-combustible material fire performance, greatly improve the safety and system stability.

With the growth of economy and the enhancement of environmental protection awareness, the consumption of natural gas is growing rapidly. The energy consumption structure further develops towards the direction of clean and low-carbon, and the proportion of natural gas consumption will gradually rise. Elastic felt can be used to cushion the lateral pressure exerted by the expanded perlite, thus ensuring the stability of the external pressure. At present, it is an excellent filling material for LNG storage tank cooling construction.
